Lawsuit Over COVID‑19 Vaccines: New Plaintiffs Against Gates & Pfizer#

In the Netherlands, three additional plaintiffs have joined a class action lawsuit against Bill Gates, Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla, and others. The accusation: deliberate deception regarding the safety of mRNA vaccines. At the same time, a lawyer was arrested — without formal charges.

Key Statement: Pfizer on Transmission#

During a hearing in the EU Parliament on October 10, 2022, MEP Rob Roos asked Pfizer executive Janine Small whether the vaccine had been tested for stopping transmission before it was launched. Her response:

“No. We had to really move at the speed of science to really understand what is taking place in the market.”

This statement sparked widespread debate. Outlets like Reuters, FactCheck.org, and AP stressed that this was not deception. The original studies were focused solely on preventing illness, not on stopping transmission.

Is This Even a Traditional Vaccine?#

Some thoughts on how to classify it:

  • The mRNA product works differently from traditional vaccines and is more akin to gene therapy.
  • The goal: introduce genetic instructions so the body produces the spike protein and triggers immunity — but not necessarily to prevent infection or onward transmission.
  • It lacks the property of sterilizing immunity, which is typical of classic vaccines.

Conclusion & Open Questions#

  1. The lawsuit raises fundamental questions about the ethics and transparency of vaccine development.
  2. The lack of transmission testing was publicly known — but is now being reconsidered legally.
  3. Whether the mRNA platform qualifies as a traditional vaccine is hotly debated. In my view, there are clear parallels to gene therapy.
